Please use the process below if you need to obtain a work permit.

The State of Maine requires 14 and 15 year olds to have a Work Permit approved by the Department of Labor before their employment begins. The Work Permit form can be obtained by using the link: https://www.maine.gov/labor/labor_laws/publications/2018/work_permit_072018.pdf

Students currently enrolled in the Wells-Ogunquit CSD

Please complete the work permit form and have your parent/guardian sign it. The completed form can be emailed to the Office of the Superintendent workpermits@wocsd.org. Once the permit has been approved by the Department of Labor, an approved copy will be emailed to you to take to your employer. Please email workpermits@wocsd.org if you have questions or need to make an appointment to visit the office in person.

Students not enrolled in the Wells-Ogunquit CSD

Please complete the work permit form, provide a copy of a birth record (birth/baptismal certificate or passport), and please email workpermits@wocsd.org. If you have questions or need to make an appointment to visit the office in person please call 207-646-8331 or email workpermits@wocsd.org.

NOTE: When you submit your work permit application, please let us know whether or not you have already held a work permit.
